Zoning Board approves applications
The Zoning Board of Review took action on a couple of applications at its Wednesday, March 5, meeting.
An application by Edward Pinto for a zoning variance to build new stairs property on Mansion Road (plat 3, lot 125) was unanimously approved. Pinto told the board that he was planning on building a four-foot wide set of four to six granite steps leading off the driveway, and another five-foot wide set of wood steps above that would lead to the front door.
The board also unanimously approved a zoning variance for property owned, according to the printed agenda, by Lynn and Martha Temple (plat 8, lot 134), for a two-car garage with a home office.
An application by Payne’s 1614 Realty (plat 5, lot 111) for a special use permit at Payne’s Harbor View Inn will need to be resubmitted, said Vice Chair Kate Butcher.
“This has been continued and continued and continued,” she said. “We haven’t received documents from the Planning Board, and in fairness they haven’t received all the information. I’m going to recommend that the applicant resubmit all the forms at the application stage.” The motion was approved.
Several other applications were pushed to the next public hearing scheduled for March 26. — Lars Trodson
