Mr. and Mrs. Michael F. Wilbur of Providence and Block Island, R.I., are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Mary Alice Wilbur, Esq. to Dr. Brian Patrick Daly of Warwick, R.I. and Portland, Oregon on Sept. 14, 2013.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Chief Judge Francis J. and Mary E. McCabe of Providence, Rhode Island and Block Island, and the late Sinclair F. and Elizabeth F. Wilbur of Barrington, R.I.. The groom is the son of the late John F. and Anne Daly of New York City and the grandson of the late Thomas and Delia Flanagan and the late John and Anna Daly, all of New York City.
The setting for the wedding was the bride’s summer home, “Bit ‘O Heaven,” on the South Shore Cliffs of Block Island overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The reception was held immediately after at the Spring House Hotel.
Dr Elizabeth Sullivan was the maid of honor, with Heather Joines and Jennifer Antoniazzi, Esq. serving as bridesmaids. Josephine Blanco and Kyra Finnegan were junior bridesmaids and Amanda Blanco and Caitlin Finnegan were flower girls. John Finnegan served as best man for the groom. The groomsmen were Dr. Paul Puri and Gerard Leonard. The ushers were Dr. David Cordes and Thomas Hyland.
The bride is a summa cum laude graduate of the Rocky Hill School. She is a graduate of Brown University, where she received her bachelor of arts degree with honor, as well as her master of arts degree. The bride’s juris doctor degree was conferred upon her by Boston College Law School. She is a member of the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bars. She served as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the University of Massachusetts Charlton College of Business, and is currently legal counsel to Sargeant & Wilbur, Inc. located in Pawtucket Rhode Island.
The groom is a graduate of Archbishop Malloy School. He was awarded a bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University. He received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Rochester Medical Center. Thereafter, he completed his residency at Brown University Medical School, serving as a chief resident in the psychiatry program. He is a board certified psychiatrist and completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of Michigan Medical School. The groom is currently an attending physician with the Division of Public Psychiatry and an Assistant Professor of Forensic Psychiatry with Oregon Health and Science University.
Following the wedding, the couple took a trip to Toronto and plan an extended honeymoon in Ireland in late fall.
The couple makes their home in Warwick, Rhode Island.
