Volunteers sought for B.I. arts panel
The Rhode Island State Council for the Arts (RISCA) is seeking five volunteer panelists to serve in the selection of artwork for the Block Island Airport Gallery’s 2014 exhibition schedule. The Block Island Airport gallery is a joint venture between RISCA and the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.
Panelists will select four artists during a one-day meeting that will be open to the public. The meeting will be held on Block Island at a date and time to be scheduled in early November. Artists and community members are encouraged to apply. Residents of Block Island will be given preference.

The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts is a state agency, supported by appropriations from the Rhode Island General Assembly and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. RISCA provides grants, technical assistance and staff support to arts organizations and artists, schools, community centers, social service organizations and local governments to bring the arts into the lives of Rhode Islanders.
