The Block Island Times website continued to attract new readers in 2012 — web traffic has tripled since we went to the VillageSoup model, and now attracts on average 30,000 unique visitors a month.

What were they looking at? Here's the rundown:

1) Written updates from Hurricane Sandy, 25,000 views between four stories.

2) Hurricane Sandy photos, video and a slideshow, 21,700 views.
