¿hola, cómo estás?  I’m Anthony and I am willing to tell you about how I speak a second language. The first language I learned is Spanish because when my parents moved here from The Dominican republic they only spoke Spanish.

Later I learned lots of English words. My parents taught me, and being with other kids and in school helped. In three years, I was very good. I knew how to speak English so well it became my first language. But I still speak Spanish at home. When I go home I still say, “¿hola, mama, qué tal? to my mom.

Learning two languages is hard at first. Sometimes I think in Spanish and talk in English. But it is so worth the hard work because it is very cool to speak two languages.

You could learn in just a few years to speak another language. I think that  speaking another language is very interesting and fun. It is so easy to do….  ¡que tenga un buen día!  Have a good day!
