NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of New Shoreham Zoning Board of Review will be in session at the Town Hall, Old Town Road on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 5:00 PM for a regular meeting.  
All persons interested will be heard for or against the granting of the following applications under the Zoning Ordinances:
1. McMellon, Charles and Tobee. Plat 16, Lot 44-1. Application for a Special Use Permit under Section 306(E) and Section 406 and for a Variance from Section 306(C) for construction of an addition to a single family dwelling.
2.  Battyville, LLC. Plat 4, Lot 32 unit 3. Application for a Variance from Sections 113(c)(1) and 306 (c) to increase the height of a prior existing non conforming accessory use building.

Geremia & Associates, Inc., 272 West Exchange St., Suite 201, Providence, RI between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, after March 1, 2013.

Proposed Amendment to New Shoreham’s Revised Ordinances
Motor Vehicles for Hire

The Town Council has scheduled a public hearing to consider changes to the Town’s General Ordinances Chapter 8 Licenses and Business Regulations, Article VII Motor Vehicles for Hire
Section 164(b) Application for license; qualifications of applicants.  Section 8-164 was advertised in its entirety in the March 2, 2013 Block Island Times.  The proposed additions appear in italics (like this).
Sec. 8-164. - Application for license; qualifications of applicants.
(a) (no changes)
(b) The commission on motor vehicles for hire shall maintain a waiting list of those who wish to be considered for a license as they become available and shall provide the names of those on the list who continue meeting the criteria set forth in subsection (c) of this section to the council on an annual basis.  In the event that a person on the waiting list dies prior to a license becoming available, the decedent’s legally married spouse shall be entitled to be placed on the list, at the same position, if within 30 days of the date of death they so notify the commission of this election, and further provided that the surviving spouse is otherwise qualified as set forth in subsection (c).
(c) and (e) (no changes)
On Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. the Town Council will hold a public hearing at Town Hall, Old Town Road, Block Island, at which time all persons for or against may be heard and the Town Council may act on this proposal and/or amendments hereto.
