Not a scratch!

Well, my sailboat Reverie sustained no damage from hurricanoe Sandy. I'm grateful for that( note that I'm smiling). Dock Master Mark Holden, made some good calls, albeit stressful I'm sure, to secure a safe situation at the Newport Marina. The fates were indeed kind, regarding the N E sustained wind direction.

The boat off my bow has an interesting owner. He's a young guy from San Diego with a wild story. 'Nuff said. At the height of the storm when the water was above the bulkhead, Jimmy "Bondo," hopped into his kayak which was tied to the dock, and paddled off toward Bowen's and Bannister's Wharfs to go check things out; he made the front page of the Newport Daily news. I'll rustle up some pics for my next blog.
