I hope the New Shoreham Town Council supports this.  For those of us who live in Boston and points north, west and just south of Boston, traveling through South County on Friday and Sunday afternoons and evenings has become, over the years, very problematic.  It also should alleviate the serious parking problems in Point Judith.  For those rightly concerned about too many boats coming over to Block Island let's cut back on the New London Hi Speed and other boats that are geared to day trippers.  For the most part I would think folks coming over on this boat out of Quonset are on island spending money for a full weekend.
