Lori Ann Leone (Macaruso), 62, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013 at her home in Florida. Lori was the beloved wife of Leone Leone for 45 years. She is survived by her three children, whom she adored, Jason Leone, Michelle Leone and Leone Leone, Jr.; her sister Toni Cotoia; her beloved grandchildren Maria, Gabriella, Jason, Mossimo and Anthony; her mother in law, Maria Leone, and her brothers and sisters in law; Stephen and Anna Papa, Robert and Lisa Leone, Rose and Mark Jones, Aldo and Jill Leone and John and Kelly Leone; and her many nieces and nephews: Stephen and Christina Papa, Aldo Leone, Alexandria Leone, Alicia, John, Jr., Nicholas and Michael Leone, Ashley Babcock, Justin Jones, Shelley Jones-Lew, and Donald, Maria, Lauren and Louis Cotoia.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Anthony and Edith Macaruso, as well as Andrew Leone and Lisa Babcock. Lori and her husband of 45 years, Leo, were residents of Block Island, Rhode Island, and Hollywood, Florida.
Together, they owned and operated Aldo’s Bikes and Mopeds for over 30 years. Lori could always be found on Weldon’s Way helping tourists find the perfect way to see Block Island, whether it be by bike or moped.
In addition to services on the mainlaind, funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Chapel Street, Block Island, Rhode Island at noon. Burial will follow at the Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial dontations be made in Lori’s memory to the Block Island Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue, P.O. Box 220, Block Island, R.I. 02807.
