Ladies Auxiliary providing free smoke alarms
The Block Island Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxilary is providing smoke alarms to any member of the Block Island Community who needs one. The alarms are available at the dispatch office at the police station, Helping Hands Food Pantry and the Block Island Early Learning Center.
Alarms may be picked up by homeowners or renters at no cost. They are easily installed and are battery operated (battery included).
