Need a place to hold a gathering? Kimberly throws open the Beachead Restaurant.
That’s what people say about this remarkable woman: a friend to all.
No matter how chaotic it is at the Beachead on a summer’s day, Kimberly is patient and welcoming. She never seems to get rattled. But it is when someone is in need of comforting, of support, of a job — that’s when Kimberly always seems to come through.
My daughter worked at The Beachhead one summer and she commented that the spirit of teamwork was set by Kimberly. Unlike lots of places, the mantra was to collaborate rather than compete.
Every year Kimberly is front and center at the Fourth of July parade cheering everyone on. That’s what she does best.
