Precious Preschoolers: Wouldn’t you love to spend time with our precious preschoolers at the Block Island Early Learning Center? You could enjoy reading books or baking cookies together. Call Tracy Heinz, in advance, if you would like to set up a time together at 575-8650.

Monday, January 21

Trip to America, starring Westerly and Wakefield: Off on the 8:15 a.m. and back on the 4:45 p.m. boat. Run some errands, shop the sales or have a bite as Judy brings you around in the town’s van. Flexible schedule is possible. Transportation on the mainland is free.

Dining Delivered: It’s not Meals on Wheels and it’s not pizza delivery, but it’s Meatloaf Mondays, and it’s homemade from the Block Island Grocery, and it will be delivered to your door around noon if you call Betsey DeMaggio at 466-2339. Please give advance notice. Due to our generous donor, meals will only be $5.

Tuesday, January 22

Chair Aerobics: It’s never too late to get in shape with Robin and her fabulous and fun aerobics class! Join her at the Community Center from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost is $3.

Lunch Bunch: Everyone is welcome to enjoy a wonderful, warm meal with silver and gold friends. (Make new friends and keep the old, one is silver and the other’s gold....)

At the Community Center at 12:30 p.m. Cost $4.

Wednesday, January 23

Wednesday Walk: Walk with us at Heinz Field on the track. See how time flies when you are having fun. See how good you feel after your Wednesday Walk! Heinz Field from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Arts & Crafts, Pinch a Pot, Part II: If you have already Pinched your Pot (and, boy was that fun!) come on back to paint your creation with a glaze. Same time, same place with Becca at the Harbor Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Cost for glaze is $5.

Thursday, January 24

Dining Delivered: It’s not meatloaf but it’s a hot, home-cooked meal for our special seniors right from the Block Island Grocery to your fork, for just $5 if you call Betsey DeMaggio at 466-2339 to have your lunch arrive around noon.

Friday, January 25

Chair Aerobics: Work up an appetite for Soup Group, with Robin at the Community Center from 10 a.m to 10:30 a.m. Cost a mere $3.

Soup Group: Soup’s On at the Community Center at 12:30 p.m. Come one, come all. $3.

Upcoming Special:

Men’s Marinara Cooking Class: A cooking class for men who only know how to boil water! You will come away from this with a container of sauce to bring home, and, as an expert in making Mama’s Secret Italian Marinara Sauce! Call Sandra Kelly at 466-2802 to reserve your spot! Class is at Sandra’s home from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Class is Free. Lesson is priceless.
