Eleanor Mott, 90
Eleanor T. (Wieland) Mott, 90, of Block Island died Monday at Kent Regency Nursing Home in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Samuel D. Mott. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Louis and Georgiana (DeCaux) Wieland.
Prior to her retirement in 2000, Eleanor was the owner and operator of the Narragansett Inn on Block Island for many years.
She is survived by her children, John Mott of Block Island, James Mott of Manville, Susan Pike of Block Island and Perryville, George Mott of Cheshire, Conn., and Peter Mott of Block Island. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Andrew Church, Block Island at 1 p.m. Her life will be celebrated with calling hours prior to the funeral service from 12:30 to 1 p.m., also at St. Andrew Church.
