Director of RI Marine Archaeology Program to present at BIMI lecture TONIGHT, Tuesday August 13.

The Block Island Maritime Institute (BIMI), will host the eighth of it's summer lecture series at 7pm on Tuesday August 13th at Smuggler's Cove on Ocean Avenue. Dr. D.K. Abbass, the Director of the RI Marine Archaeology Project (RIMAP) will talk about "Marine Archaeology and Heritage Tourism in Rhode Island: Rhode Island slave ships, steam ships and prison ships- and what RIMAP can do for our local economy."


All BIMI lectures are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
