CRMC approves Deepwater unanimously
The full Coastal Resources Management Council accepted an earlier recommendation of its subcommittee and unanimously approved Deepwater Wind's Block Island Wind Farm project at its meeting on Wednesday, May 13. The CRMC is the final state agency that needs to approve the project.
There is still permitting needed from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, which oversees the entire project, and the federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, which has oversight of the portion of the transmission cable that is in federal waters.
Details to follow in tomorrow’s paper.
