Boston Globe: Cape Wind considers R.I. for staging area
The Boston Globe reports that Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee has met with officials of the Cape Wind offshore wind project planned for Massachusetts. Cape Wind may possibly use Rhode Island ports as the wind farm’s construction-staging area, instead of New Bedford, Mass.
Two possible locations are Quonset in North Kingstown and in Providence.
