This week we have a very quiet week planned, as we know many of you are extra busy with the holiday. The Senior Advisory Committee and your Senior Coordinator wish you and yours a healthy and happy Thanksgiving filled with many things to be thankful for.
Monday, November 19:
Slater Mill Historical Museum: A personalized tour of of this museum highlights the American Industrial Revolution. Following lunch there will be food shopping for Thanksgiving. Museum entrance is $10.
Mabel’s Meals: Homemade meals delivered to your home. Simply call Lonnie Todd at 466-2323 to order your meal. $9.50.
Tuesday, November 20:
Chair Aerobics: Robin Lewis, our IFA certified instructor, will help you tone, strengthen, improve your balance and put a smile on your face with mostly seated exercise. This workout is great for seniors or if you are recovering from an injury. All you need are comfortable clothes and a dishtowel. Yes, of course this class is for men, too! Class starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Center. $5.
Lunch Bunch: It is, as usual, at the Community Center, at 12:30 p.m.. It won’t be turkey, cranberry and mashed potatoes, but it promises to be delish! $4.
Wednesday, November 21:
Get those pies in the oven, or pick one up, it’s the last day of the School Friends Pie Sale at Island Bound Bookstore!
Thursday, November 22:
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Today would be a great day to walk off that extra helping.
Friday, November 23:
Today would also be a great day to walk off those extra helpings!

Facebook, Finally: Who knows how to Facebook better than our youth? That’s why we will have our very own expert, a 10th grade Block Island student, join us next week as she walks us through a workshop on how to use social media. Stay tuned.

Thursday, December 13: Newport Playhouse Matinee “Greetings.” A young man brings his Jewish fiancé home to meet his sweet, Catholic Mother and his grouchy, Catholic father on Christmas Eve. See what happens in this warm and funny comic jewel. Dinner and a show is $45.
Thursday, December 20: Window shop in Wickford and then food shop for the Holiday.
